IQOS

IQOS is a brand of heated tobacco products. It was developed by Philip Morris International, the largest tobacco company in the world. IQOS uses a proprietary heating system that heats tobacco to a temperature of about 350 degrees Celsius, which is lower than the temperature required for combustion. This produces an aerosol that contains nicotine and other compounds, but without the harmful chemicals produced by burning tobacco.

IQOS works by heating specially designed tobacco sticks, called HEETS, using a device that contains an electronically controlled heating element. The heating element heats the tobacco to a temperature that is high enough to release nicotine and flavor, but not high enough to burn the tobacco. This produces an aerosol that is inhaled by the user. Unlike traditional cigarettes, which burn tobacco and produce smoke, IQOS does not produce ash or smoke. Instead, it produces a tobacco vapor that dissipates quickly. Compared to traditional cigarettes, using IQOS can reduce exposure to harmful chemicals, generate less smell, and provide a consistent and controlled nicotine experience. The vast majority of smokers who try it quit smoking for good.
