How do you verify age?
We use a third-party system that is recognized in the industry to verify your age. The system runs several independent checks to confirm whether you are over 18 years old, including credit records, UK electoral roll and UK birth registration checks. When creating an account or placing an order on Myvapor.co.uk, we will ask you to provide your full name, date of birth, and billing address. The system performs as few checks as possible. In most cases, your age can be verified immediately. And because this is only an identity check and not a credit check, your credit score will not be affected. Once we verify your age, we will mark your membership account as “age-verified”, and you do not need to go through the process again.
If we cannot automatically verify your age through the system, you can choose to verify your age through the following methods: mobile phone number, credit card, voter registration details, driver’s license, or citizen card. We promise not to disclose any of your personal information, and the stored information will not exceed 48 hours.
What information do you need?
To verify your age, we require your full name, current address and mobile phone number, when placing your first order with us. The billing address you provide when purchasing from us will be used as your current home address. It’s important to ensure that the billing address on your account reflects your current home address. In some circumstances, we may also require your date of birth to assist with the verification process.
Does Age Verification Cost Me Anything?
No, age verification does not cost the customer anything, it is solely our responsibility as a retailer and in the majority of cases it will occur in the background and require no input from you at all.
